A medium-length spotted hyena tail, hand-sewn featuring airbrushing and a lanyard clip to easily put it on a belt loop. All of my tails come with this, for ease of use.

Sorry about that random bulge of fur on the bottom right, it doesn't normally look like that, I just took quick pictures :( But I'm not trying tell this one anyway, so I don't care much.

This tail belongs to my fursona.

My tail pricing ranges from $40(one colour)-$120(high detail/many colours/many details/etc).
This particular tail (if I were selling it) would be about $55.

Nice! Did you weft for the longer black fur?

I'm not sure what wefting is D: Lol But no, I used monkey shag from DF. It's like 4" long, it's pretty amazing.

Ah, OK. Probably a better material. I wefted Kanekalon for mine. It's the acrylic hair used for extensions, but folks will "weft" or put it together to make wigs, or manes/tails for other costume pieces. :>

That actually sounds kinda cool! But seems like a lot of work -.-"

It was a lot of work, but the effect is worth it. Had I access to 4" pile fur, though, I probably wouldn't have done it. ;D

Thanks for the link! I may get some to use if I ever redo my tail. The one I have is looking pretty ragged, and like you, I've got spots on my tail that I never put in (though seriously considering changing them to stripes like one of the males at our zoo here has). :>

I'm surprised and amuzed that they list "Fur suit" under the possible uses. :D
